This is the first publication in the World Socialist Web Site’s global campaign to liberate Bogdan Syrotiuk, a 25-year-old socialist seized from his home by Ukrainian police in April 2024. He has been charged with “high treason” for writing articles opposing the US-led war against Russia on the World Socialist Web Site.
Basing itself on lies, fabrications, and political absurdities, the US-backed regime in Ukraine accuses Syrotiuk of promoting “Russian narratives.” As the articles in this pamphlet make clear, the WSWS and Syrotiuk are intransigent opponents of all forms of national chauvinism.
Syrotiuk is a member of the Young Guard of Bolshevik-Leninists (YGBL), a Trotskyist youth organization in Ukraine and Russia that has consistently fought to unite the Russian and Ukrainian working class against both the US/NATO-led war against Russia and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
