How the GPU Murdered Trotsky

Leon Trotsky, co-leader of the 1917 October Revolution, was assassinated in Mexico on August 20, 1940. “Security and the Fourth International is the first major investigation by the Trotskyist movement into the circumstances surrounding his murder. 

Launched by the ICFI in May 1975, the investigation uncovered abundant, long-concealed evidence of GPU penetration of the movement and of murder. The documents of the first year of the investigation are contained in this volume.
