After the August Putsch: Where Is the USSR Going?

In August 1991 elements within the Stalinist bureaucracy in the Soviet Union staged an abortive coup attempt. By December 1991, the bureaucracy dissolved the former workers state, leading to a disastrous collapse of living standards and the outbreak of new imperialist wars.
