Social Crisis and Labor Struggles Bundle
The Social Crisis and Labor Struggles Bundle features several titles that examine the economic and social conditions faced by different sections of the working class in the United States and other parts of the world. In this bundle readers will find a collection of pamphlets that expose the situation confronted by miners in West Virginia, victims of utility shutoffs and house fires in Detroit, and workers living in an Australian steel town rife with industrial pollution, at different times over the course of the last 20 years. The works, written by the Socialist Equality and prominent WSWS authors, provide invaluable historical background of the events they review. Two additional titles included in the bundle, written by WSWS Editorial Board Chairman David North, explain why the trade unions have abandoned the fight on the behalf of the working class and the history of the struggle for a revolutionary perspective. The bundle contains the following titles:
The Truth Behind the Mack Avenue Fire by Socialist Equality Party (United States)
Death on the Picket Line: The Story of John McCoy by Jerry White
Cancer and Industrial Pollution by Socialist Equality Party (Australia)
The Northern Territory Intervention and Rudd’s Apology: The Real Agenda by Socialist Equality Party (Australia)
Marxism and the Trade Unions by David North
Reform and Revolution in the Epoch of Imperialism by David North
