Additional Information

Description This work is a print edition of the World Socialist Web Site 15 Year Anniversary essays. It is meant as a companion to the online project celebrating 15 years of continuous publication of the World Socialist Web Site. On February 14, 2013 the WSWS marked the 15 year anniversary by launching a special section of the web site devoted to highlighting the most significant world events and analysis provided by the International Committee of the Fourth International of each of those years. The WSWS analysis provides an understanding of world events including: the exposure of the impeachment of Bill Clinton; the stolen election of 2000; the attacks of 9/11 and the international development of police state measures against the working class; the illegal wars in Afghanistan and Iraq; defense of Julian Assange and Wikileaks and the exposure of US torture methods in Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib; on-the-spot coverage of the revolution in Egypt and analysis of events in the Middle East. The essays contained in this new book are an indispensable introduction to those new to the World Socialist Web Site, providing an Marxist assessment of the unfolding events of the tumultuous last years of the 20th century and the first 12 years of the 21st. For those who have followed the site over the course of the past 15 years you will want the print edition as a reference for the first 15 years of the WSWS or as a way to introduce new readers to the web site.
